Thirsk Vet, Julian Norton, star of Channel 5’s series The Yorkshire Vet, will be launching his new book ‘Horses, Heifers and Hairy Pigs: The Life of a Yorkshire Vet’ at White Rose BookCafe, Thirsk on Saturday September 17, from 11am to 1pm.
Julian will be personally signing copies of his new book, and be telling some amusing anecdotes and stories of his working life at The Skeldale Veterinary practise in Thirsk, which was the original inspiration behind author James Herriot’s ‘All Creatures Great and Small’.

The book is the memoirs of his working life in the North Yorkshire countryside, treating all creatures from pups to alpacas, rabbits to exotic pigs, his vocation and love of his work shines from every page, as well as his love of his home county.
