Bloomin’ Words Christmas Cabaret, “A Christmas Cracker of a night”!

Guest appearance from one of the Yorkshire Vets!

One of the stars of The Yorkshire Vet series from Channel 5, Peter Wright, will make a guest appearance at the Christmas Bloomin’ Words Cabaret in Thirsk. A great line-up is confirmed for Bloomin’ Words Christmas Cabaret, on Thursday November 26, at The Golden Fleece Hotel, Thirsk.

Caroline Nicholls of White Rose BookCafe said “We are delighted to have been able to collaborate with Kate Fox, who is once again hosting this fantastic evening, with a great Kate fox bestselection of northern acts to entertain us. After the last 2 year’s sell out the Christmas Cabaret returns for another entertaining celebration of all things wordy and musical.” she continued “we are also thrilled that one of the stars of The Yorkshire Vet, Peter Wright has taken time out of his busy schedule to make a guest appearance. Kate will present a line-up of superb local talent, and we are in for a Christmas Cracker of a night!”

Lydia SlackHost Kate, Radio 4 regular, poet, comedian and writer will present The Bronze with fantastic harmonies from Holly Taymar & Chris Bilton, accompanied by superb Cellist, Jennifer Chubb making a guest appearance. Hilarious tales of life on the farm from Lydia Slack, a 23 year old hill farmer’s daughter, who grew up on a Peak District Hill Farm, & says “I was brought up surrounded by hills, animals and not many people”. Lydia is a natural story teller engaging the audience with her talent for observational humour. Also the Bronzecomedy from Nick Cranston gently sharp and witty, and guest James Herriot reading by Pete Wright of Channel 5’s The Yorkshire Vet!  Plus more lively toe tapping music with Fiddles, from Jonathon and Aidan Tulloch and John Corcoran of Herd on the Hill.  Jennifer Chubb (John Illingworth photography)More music, comedy and live spoken word than you can shake a glittery stick at.
